Bob the Drag Queen: RuPaul’s Drag Race Season Eight Profile

For the last couple of weeks I have been writing (short) profiles of the competitors in this upcoming season of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

My wife told me that when she went to the premiere event introducing the season eight drag queens on stage, by far Bob the Drag Queen was the most popular. Which to me is odd, knowing nothing about Bob, based solely on the name. I mean — Bob? The Drag Queen? Like Cedric the Entertainer before her, Bob’s name just seems to perhaps ironically inform you what she does. Bob the Drag Queen. Gordon the Writer Slash Playwright? But then I saw the photographs and of course this stunning profile photo of Bob.

The name Bob to me seems very plain but from the looks of her, Bob is ANYTHING but plain. The word ‘fierce’ seems to fit her a lot better. And now finally, some photographs my wife took at the event last week.

Good evening.

This is what I call the face of whimsy.

This, on the other hand, is what should come up in the dictionary under ‘fierce’ — am I right?

There’s an adorable looking official site for Bob with, yes, shirts.

Bob was performing RuPaul well before this year… evidence:

Color me impressed… check out this pose.

Thanks Chicago for a wonderful night. Off to Austin. Jump suit by @haynes20000

Lastly, check out this great review of The Bob Show from two and a half years ago here

Bob’s introduction of her special guest for the evening was both educational and giggle-worthy. She asked an audience member with a ridiculous mustache if he had a nice ass or a flat one.

Need we say more on the matter?

How time flies. Tomorrow is the last profile for the season : Chi Chi DeVayne!
