RuPaul Goes Green — and Genuine Sadness At Elimination Time

I must say that I did not care for Jessica Alba being one of the guest judges this week as I am not a fan of her so-called honest baby company. When you do a search online for cloth diapers you get ads for their diapers — none of which are cloth. No thanks!

It seems like the only thing RuPaul likes more than singing her own songs is when other people do — maybe that’s why we see RuPaul songs so often on Drag Race. Or perhaps it is because it’s more cost effective?

The Queens are split into teams and are to do parodies of recent RuPaul songs. Nobody does a particularly smashing job but Trixie’s team seemed weakest. This could be why, at the end, Trixie and Pearl were up for elimination. This despite the fantastic green show that they put on, with all green outfits. Trixie and Pearl both lip sync like nobody’s watching. Pearl in an interview moment says what we are all thinking, and that is that Trixie deserves to win. Mama Ru does not agree and Trixie is sent home.

The reaction to this has been overwhelming. Look at some of the tweets from other Queens :

One of my favorites that also was eliminated early — Ben De La Creme —

Perhaps the less said about this episode, the better? On the other hand, I found out this morning that many of the angry tweets about Trixie’s elimination came hours before the actual show aired — not okay! I’m glad I somehow avoided spoilers. Even RuPaul weighed in on the matter.
