Lessons from a Soap Bottle – Introduction

Some of the best lessons in from unusual places. Take, for example, the humble bottle of soap. It is there primarily to clean us and in many cases the things in our life. My soap of choice is Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap, and I chose it first and foremost because of its strength and simplicity. I have come to appreciate it because of the many lessons that can be learned from the dense text that is printed on the bottles, which varies depending on what scent you get.

In this new series I hope to post each week, I will introduce text directly from the bottle and then explain in greater detail what I think can be learned from it — and what I have gotten from the lesson.

It probably seems a bit absurd to learn anything in life from a bottle of soap, but stranger things have happened, yes?

See you next week in this space for the first lesson!
